Write Like You Talk

The moment people sense corporate jargon, they stop reading. Phrases like leverage synergies and best in class signal that no real human is behind the words. The most persuasive copy sounds like a smart, warm person explaining something clearly over coffee. Write like you talk. Use short sentences, plain words, and the same language your customer would use to describe their own problem. Read your draft aloud, and cut anything you would never actually say. Clarity is not the enemy of professionalism. It is the highest form of it. When your writing sounds human, people trust it, and people buy from those they trust.
